Are there any IRL traders out there (stocks, options/futures, forex, etc.)?

I've washed my hands of the whole 40/40/40 scam (work 40 hours per week for 40 years and be expected to retire on 40% of what you barely survived on) and am taking up full time trading. Got burned out on my career due to all the backstabbing; I have yet ANOTHER knife sticking out of my back at the moment. I've been trying to network and connect with already established (preferably independent) traders, and since Test is SO DAMN BIG I figure there must be SOMEONE here who sees things the way I do. So I guess what I'm saying is if there is another trader out there I want to hook up and pick your brain.

I used to do some day trading a few years back when my 401k took a dump with everyone else's. Was able to recoup some loss of my savings but juggling life (Military and family) it didn't go well with everything else. I still "trade" but it's more on solid investment strategies on a medium to low risk which requires little involvement now.

I also do pay attention to newer companies and since I now live in the heart and brain of the tech world I have picked up and dropped some investments based on hiring/layoff reports and also construction and real estate purchases. When Google or Apple buy a inch or land or a city it's all over local news...

Outside of that I'm out of the "game" so to speak.
