Despite being a bit on the RGB side initially, this build started as a humble replacement to my previous rig that died due to CPU failure way back in 2015. This set off a long series of events that I cover somewhat in this reddit post but tl;dr I became obsessed with cooling the whole system, made some unnecessary purchases, ended up donating most of the parts I had at one point to my brother (this is its own heartache, as included in the list of parts I gave him was an AMD R9 290X that was eligible for the "Never Settle - Space Edition" promotion, but he lost the packaging, so I missed out on a Mustang Omega!) but after years of waiting and saving, it all came together RIGHT before COVID-19 went full swing, and I had almost all parts excluding some nickel fittings for the custom loop before the lockdown in Italy delayed importing directly from EKWB to finish it all. Luckily, by March of 2020 everything was here and I got to complete the build!

Now that it's finally complete and I'm nearly done making additional pledges, I'm planning on waiting until the next series of AM5 CPUs and RDNA 3 GPUs (8000 series?) to commit to any upgrades, unless I can find an absolutely phenomenal deal on a 5900x and & 6900xt liquid devil. I also wasn't really happy with how that specific kit of Corsair memory was performing, and I'm well past the point of caring about the RGB, so I'd trade it in for a better die kit of 3600 DDR4 again if I could find a great deal.

EDIT:
And I forgot, the Corsair MP600 actually failed on me a few months back and I ended up replacing it with 2 WD Black SN850s and put them into a RAID just for fun.
