PS I love the marketing strategy this time, specific to the concierge folks who, like me, have some sort of mental condition that causes us to buy too many pixelated spaceships.

Anyway, strategy this time around: We have not much to show you. No stats, no nothing. But if you act NOW, you get some extra pixels! They don't do shit, but buy now or lose them!

So of course, more than 1200 of we silly folk have bought them.

I like it because its a combat non dogfighting vessel. You basically have to sneak past the enemy sensors, destroy the target like a ninja and get out without anyone realizing what just happened. That sounds like fun.

So join us when we loan them off The Outsiders on Leir. I keep telling people, the last thing to spend money on in the 'Verse is the ships. Save your money for NPCs, insurance and such. You can't "liberate" NPCs.

The Harbinger will be flyable in a season. This won't be flyable for a couple years. Makes it an easy choice. Also keep in mind this is a carrier-based attack ship. The Vanguard will all have much greater range and probably speed too. Better to fly the Warden, Harbinger, Hoplite and Sentinel and then graduate to the Eclipse and Prowler once we know how stealth works.

This thing is like the Tally--intended for hitting big ships. Unless they decide to offer multiple versions, I would not expect it to be especially useful compared to the Vanguard series. Could be great with the Prowler though. They made the latter with no missiles for a reason--forcing players to use multiple ships for boarding actions.

That's pretty cool. I wonder if this is going to invalidate the Gladiator like the Sabre did the Gladius.

I mean you could go "well they carry a similar payload but the Gladiator has better defenses", but the best defense for a ship that doesn't want to be engaged by fighters is not to be seen.

Soooo it's a Stealth Gladiator?

I think so. Might carry a little more ordinance than the Gladiator. Think of the B2 Spirit: much smaller than the B52, but large enough for the largest sort of bomb you have, which is much larger than what will fit on a fighter/bomber like the F-18.

I would not be surprised if this fits a couple S10 Torps, though my guess is 4 S5s. The Gladiator fits S5s. So far as I am aware, the designations run S1, S2 and S3 for missiles, and S5 and S10 for torpedoes. Main differences are the Torps can't reasonably hit smallish craft, and the larger the missile, the slower it is, harder it is to fool with countermeasures and the greater the range and payload. Finding something stealthy to swap back and forth between S3s and S5s would be cool.

Certainly they modeled it on the B2. Look at it. It's all beautious and like that. I wanna know what guns it has! My guess is this will be disappointing, but if it mounted 4 S4 guns, I would be in hog heaven. It is big enough!
