Contact Customer Support. They actually have a support ticket title of "Forum Issues (Moderation)". Use it!

Some of the mods on the RSI forum are very reasonable guys, but some that shall remain nameless seem to let their mod abilities get the better of them and they tend to go overboard with the whole "because I said so" attitude towards moderation. They're partly the reason why people leave the RSI forums for Reddit permanently.
