Battlezone - The best game no one's heard of.

A feature packed tank fps/rts from 1998, this and the sequel are just amazing games for their time. Today, there is a small community including a few of the original devs still working steadily to keep them working with modern hardware as well as updating the game for multiplayer.


You can get the original here (a wopping 186mb) however the 2nd still "requires" ;) a copy of the disk or handy iso backup I'm sure you had already, along with the current patch files.

I played it for months back in the days. It really was too advanced for it's time.

RTS in first person was just wow. If CR wants to implement ground combat in maybe 5 years, this is the way to do it.

I was super young at the time but I did have a chance to play the original a few times at a friend's house, the ufos scared the crap out of me for some reason.
