Forcing people into turrets is not "encouraging multicrew gameplay", it's the lowest effort they can put in and the laziest way possible to fuck over solo players.
"Go sit in a fucking turret or spend the entire game in a starter ship" is a nice message to send, 12 fucking years into "development"

This message has been edited several times to reduce hateful language and crude swearing.

In a large plane (like a bomber) what chin turrets were controlled directly by the pilot in WW2? Were they effective?
Depends... What ship in WWII had shields and was able to hover nose down in the air peltering the ground with bullets?
Apart from that, I only pointed out the fact that at this point of time in the development of this particular game most other ships with a chin turret have those weapons under the pilot's control.
Doesn't have to be set in stone.
Alpha and all that, I'm well aware.

Also, as the Fat Fury is fast (until the first nerf) approaching they probably do not want it to be outclassed and outgunned by an older ship.

What do you reckon those guns beneath the top pylons are?
Size 5 ore size 6?
Given the context they almost certainly will be size 6.
For the sale at least... :-P

The corsair is probably the only ship in the game that i've evert thought deserves/requires a nerf, its ridiculously overgunned for the pilot and the type of ship it is. Come on think about it it has as much firepower as a 600i plus a vanguard plus a 400i for gods sake thats mad :p
You'd have to deduct a Mirai Fury though for fairness sake.
Or at least add it to the Corsairs side.
Come to think of it, you CAN put a Fury into the hold of a Corsair, can't you?
