I’m happy to see this. Aesthetically, from a top down view, it looks more balanced with the size 4.

The upsize is a good thing, outside of speed it was basically outmatched by everything else as a "starter." But yes, the top down has an odd balance to is and upping the size of the weapon hardpoint lends it a slightly more balanced shape.

I'm hoping a Pulse will fit into the cargo bays using a tractor beam to get it in an out. 4 SCU containers full of weapons, suits and clothes would make for a nice within system explorer.
I just watched Space Tomato on his stream trying to do just that, and currently it might fit, but it spazzes out and jumpglitches through the entire ship to the outside. So nope, not now, possibly not ever.

Personally, its value might boil down to cost vs potential, because while it has decent amenities for a starter, I'm not a fan of its asymmetrical looks. (The Aegis Avenger Titan has been the best looking starter since its debut & was a stunning small bounty hunting ship in its Avenger Stalker format.) Which is a shame, because Ata & I have a friend that's looking to back SC & is considering the Intrepid for their starter. This being said, IF the cost of the Intrepid is closer to the Titan than the Nomad, I might be tempted to pick up a couple for future LTI tokens.
Looks like i've thinked wrong... 65$ is definitely a no go for an Intrepid...
That think cost more then a Titan and while having a nice and way more complete interior is a plus, game wise is less capable: less firepower, less shield and while the cargo stats are the same, the fact that is a 4+4 SCU instead of a full 8 SCU cargo grid prevent not only to take in 4 SCU box, but also to transport vehicles... all for 5$ MORE?? And that not considering the 300series.
I bet CIG's guys drink waaay to much at CitizenCon...
