Good video, It also seams that muy initial guess about the custom missiles rack of some ships (like the Freelanceer MIS or the Conny) ware correct afterall... looking forword for the final implementation of the missile operative gameplay.

I'm not sure abount the "timing" mentioned in the post is referred to a cooldown timing 'tho.
I think is more referred to a timing in the sense of "trigger them at the right moment": to early ant htne the missile can bypass themm and re-gain lock on you, too later, and the missile can't be interefered in a meaningful way to no-hit your ship.

Interesting the line about the fact that contermesure are dumb and do not distinguish friend missile from enemy, this could allow some player to force and enemy ship to use theyr contermesure to brake a lock and take advantages of those for evading theyr own incoming missile or brake theyr own lock...
