Division - Level DZ 30 before PVE 30?

I'm currently sitting at PVE level 29.5

I have been in the DZ farming DZ levels, because I figured I should probably get to DZ 30 so I can open loot crates etc.

Should I just go to PVE 30 and then try the DZ?

My assumption is that as soon as I hit PVE 30 then I'm running DZ vs people who have had tons of time to farm insane gear, and I'll just be a sitting duck. So at least if I have DZ 30 before then, I can loot some nice stuff and hopefully extract it.

Any suggestions?

Wont matter. Best gear is crafted gear and the best way to get that is pve 30. If you already made it there you found this out then ^.^

You can get much more Purple stuff that's on par to DZ30 (going to be reduced to DZ15 after the patch Tuesday) from running Hard Missions, especially the last one, General Assembly. You can pretty much guarantee 8-9 different purple stuff drop from every time running it.

With full Purple, you can venture into Challenge Lexington Center that people farm. They can pretty much 3-man it, so as long as you don't die, you can get quite a lot of Phoenix Credits and some Yellow stuff from the end-reward, although it's been mostly Backpack or Kneepad for me, so it's all just useless mats.

I have yet found a High-End (Yellow) weapon from any boss yet.

I did get enough PxC to craft a very good AK, a few nice High Capacity Magazine though.
