Kinda rethinking things. Do I need the Hull B if I own a Star G? Leaning towards flipping the Hull B for RSI and getting a fighter since that's about the only type of ship I don't own. I know Hull is always going to be better at cargo but is it going be that much better than the Starfarer G that I can justify owning a Hull B and a Star G? Thanks.

Edit. I also have a Freelancer DUR

Smaller, lets it get from A-B quicker due to it being able to use smaller jump points, costs less to operate, repair, replace.

If you want a Starfarer to purely for trade, just wait for the normal Starfarer to appear on sale, and CCU your Hull-B into it. The Star-G holds significantly less than the base, and is geared towards those going for military logistics and traveling to unsavoury places due to its armour and turrets, but hey if you are into that sort of thing, all to you.

so you think the size difference alone is worth keeping the hull for making money? the star g still holds alot more than the hull b..but early on in the game i don't know if that matters considering it will cost more than i would have to fill it up. hmmmm. i do want ships to make good money early on to get a good head start.

good points.

It has been noted that smaller logistical ships will be able to do express deliveries, as the smaller jump points that they can use are more convenient, and end up in a faster trip. In comparison, larger ships will need to make large detours. Also consider that you have to fill it up to make it worth your while, or you could specialise in expencive goods with a fast delivery rate. Either way, the game is being established so smaller logistical jobs will no be redundant with hte pressence of larger ships.

Just because the B is a smaller ship, do not think that it won't make a butt tonne of credits.

Personally, I think you are better off sitting on it for the mean while, especially if you are looking at the Star-G for pure trade. As I stated before, the base Starfarer holds considerably more, what I neglected to note is that it is also cheaper as well. If it turns out that you would prefer a Starfarer, wait for it to come in hanger, or when/if it comes on sale prior to that, and upgrade to it. This will preserve your LTI, which while not being all important, is nice to have on your bread and butter.
