Do you VR?

Just wondering if anyone has played SC via VR, and if you think it's worth it at this stage? I really REALLY want to fly around in VR and get that "in the cockpit" vibe going. But don't want to make the financial commitment if the game isn't there yet.

Max, I love VR, Skyrim Fallout4 and Elite Dangerous are my favourites. In summary I am a VR nut.
SC is no where near ready for VR although it is said to be a future feature. I hope to be corrected (in detail of how to do it if anyone does) but right now the only way to play SC in a VR headset is not true VR just an eye tracker.
If you have the budget get a Vive or an ORift, (I have a Rift) and play Elite Dangerous is stunning in VR.

You can see the groundwork they're laying to have VR built into SC in the future but it isn't there yet.

Thanks man. that's what I suspected so I appreciate your feedback. I think for now I'm going to get a 32" 4K monitor and maybe a HOTAS setup.

I am going to start a chair build for star citizen with vr. Basically it's a recliner that i can recline and have peddles mounted along with my hotas with a monitor on a swing out bar so it can be out of my way when needed. should be pretty nice for inspace flight. Also i have a vive setup and love vr.

The closest we have to VR is the headtracking with webcam tech using FOIP.
