Huge fan of the franchise....the novels, the original David Lynch film from 1984 and of course the PC games.

I'm super pumped about the Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival, Blade Runner 2049) remake that's coming out in December.

Check out some of the stills they just released!

That's great news! Loving the look of the dresses and armor, the whole tone of the images reminds me of the 84 movie which I really liked!
Watching it as a kid it was really scary, especially the "put your hand in the box" scenes lol, but I really enjoyed the action and that I could stay up really really late cos it was damn long hahaha. I've read the main story covered in the film, but never got into the later books.
I hope this turns out as good as it looks!

Ps.: If you wanna play a classic, you can grab openRA-Dune2000 for free! Just search for openRA.
It's not as easy a game as I remembered lol

Full feature film (Huge cast...Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Stellan Skaarsgard, etc)

The film will be divided into 2 parts. I think that's a great decision as there's a lot of ground to cover. One of the main weakness of the first film was that the pacing was all over the place and non-book viewers were left confused.

I think they'll start with the first book first. Any further adaptations will depend on the performance of the first movie.

Is it wrong that these pics are giving me hot flashes and palpitations. I feel like a teenage girl at a backstreet boys concert. Cept, Im a dude, in his 40's . . . . this is awkward. I'm gona go drink away this embarrassment and drunkenly stagger into a more acceptable, manlier one.

I also really hope they find a role for Sting, even if only a background single scene character.
His Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, is my opinion, was such a great take on the character that I feel he at least deserves to be offered some kind of contribution to this project.

Sting? I heard he'd gone missing.

The Police are without a lead.

I like the original 1984 version but it's always struck me as super Campy and hard to follow for non-book readers. It hasn't aged as well as say..the original Blade Runner. The Minseries on the other hand were decent but suffered badly from poor production values. All the sets and VFX looked cheap. Dune is up there with Lord of The Rings and Star Wars with cult like Fandom. It deserves another go at the big screen. The latter books have never been adapted either (minus Children of Dune) and I'll like to see a real attempt at adapting those.

Another remake??????

Does nobody in Hollyword have an original idea any more?
Looks good though, I must say.

I think they have been struggling for the past 20 years. Just like the music industry they have both boiled down the corporate groupthink to the point where it meets all of the algorithmic must have points without understanding what makes things work and destroy the soul. It's the same that happens to new ideas in computer games that get bought up by publishers and then they profit mill it to oblivion. One of the greatest examples would be Deadspace the first was edgy and by the third release, it was just a standard FPS with a few jump scares.

Workings for chumps., download a mouse mover and then drink beer while watching youtube clips of shows you'll want to watch this fall.
You can do that?
Lol, I do more of a sprint of work for a few minutes when I succeed in diverting my son's attention for 5 or more minutes. Then its back to Lego, PlayStation, and hide and seek.
