ECN Mission - Alternate ending

Since I rarely do missions, seeing other people's frustrations with the ECN mission gave me something to do besides endlessly run cargo.

"Have you just risked your life, limbs and livelihood defending yet another Starfarer pilot in need, only to have them ignore you once the work is done? I take matters into my own hands, for science!"

I tried doing the same thing, took it to Port Olisar. Had to jump off the outside walkway. Though once there it wouldn't let me sell the cargo.

Anyone have any luck selling the cargo anywhere after doing this?

nope, when I left the ship I powered it off (probably should have left it on, & made sure the doors were un-locked, but I'm not familiar with the Starfarer controls). I too ended up jumping from the rear gangway, breaking my legs in the process. It was treated as any other stolen ship by the shipping terminals, I got no crimestat from the encounter.

the whole encounter was buggy, as were the after results -

Further shenanigans were had after the video. When I called another ship to head home (an Avenger, suspiciously like the one under me in the Video) to the Levski pad, it appeared under a Starfarer in the hanger. Getting in and out of the Avenger caused it, and myself to fall through the planet. I respawned at Levski, called up a Connie and it too appeared under a Starfarer. After several minutes of unsuccessfully attempting to squirm my way out from under it I left the server and logged out.

For my encounter I was able to EVA back onto the gangway, flew back to my ship (Buccaneer), then ditched the NPC Starfarer were I first found it. The ship despawned shortly afterwards.
