I am thinking about grabbing it. would be cool to have people to play with. that would get me to pull the trigger on it
I wasnt that kean tbh, i would reccomend Hell Let Loose though. Been playing last few days and its so much fun, it also encourages/requires squad communication.

The most amazing and realistic first person shooter around.
I started during the 0.12 wipe/release, and played non-stop till rank 42 when real life caught up.
I mean, sound is such a big component in Tarkov, same as bullet types, number of rounds left per mag. The ergonomics of your weapon, type of modifications. The variety of movements are also important, checking corners leaning slowly, or 1 stepping to the side and back. From chest armor types to helmets, and limb heals to bleeding/concussion/fractures. EFT is a very tactical game, less run and gun, more patience and knowledge based of your maps/items/locations.
Love the game soo much but still in development, so wipes are going to be frequent. I will return once the game is close to release without wipes, because doing those quests again can be a nightmare.

I hear ya. That big difference between using high flesh damage ammo on lightly armored to no armored targets vs "thicc bois" High armor people. Along with knowing when to stop and eat and drink while in raid. Like you said it's not so run and gun as most games, it does haves it's moments though. I love the fact that if you are moving at all and trying to shoot your accuracy takes a hit. As for the tasks it's not as bad as before. The dev team is actively listening to the community when it comes to these things. Also Nikita (the head guy making EFT for those of you who are reading this and don't know.) does pod casts on twitch every now and again It's informative but I wait for the condensed version the streamers put out.

And here I am still playing and still hardly ever making it to the Extraction points. Then again I've been mostly only playing solo.
I would offer my help with the shooting but currently I'm stuck with a patato laptop that can't run very much.

We have a discord channel for EFT and people post there as well.
Those on discord are scary. Every blue moon I venture into the general chat only to hear the middle of a conversation that when taken out of context leads to the conclusion that those in discord would make the joker blush.
