Has anyone read up on the Ship jumping mechanics - say a couple of us are escorting a Constellation Ship and decide to jump in and assist operations of the Connie - what happens to the ship you were in? will it be there if you exit the ship? and if it is, could this be used to bring a couple of fighters along and jump into them on the fly?

I am certainly guessing that this will be possible. Of course if was an enemy Aurora pilot (which doesn't exist since all Aurora pilots are immediately indoctrinated into TEST whether they believe or not), the enemy pilot could just jump out and steal the more expensive fighter :p

I doubt you can just jump from your escort ship directly into the Connie to help out and even if you docked I don't think you'd be able to maneuver the bigger ship.
