Looks really awesome I would totally use something like thus , but the subscription is a no, unless it's really cheap like 10bucks a year or something. I have heard of others doing this same type project so there will be competition too.

AFAIK you don't need an Amazon account to use their tablet - surely you know someone who could order one for you if you don't want to sign up
just allow sideloading of apps in Settings, install what you will, and ignore all the Amazon crapware - make sure Alexa is disabled!

If you need more screen real estate or higher resolution, there's also 8 and 10 inch versions. It's real Android. Only marginally less capable than a Samsung Tab A, but at 50% of the price (comparing 8" versions)

It wouldn't be too high foir a finished product so long as there were ways to get it "discounted", but for somehihng that does not yet work, so you can't tell how well it will work, it is too high.

So if they get this up and running why wouldn’t SC buy them out? No need to waist time making your own app when you only need to implement one already done.
Some game companies require you to share all your add on code with them by default. Technically, if CIG implemented a restrictive enough policy, they could get the code for free and implement it themselves without paying a dime...
This is ... shady... I mean I know some companies think that way, but it's still shady. For a device like this, based as it is on tablets and not the pc or the game itself, I'd probably tell the gaming company to go take a flying leap. The same thing goes with companies who think they own the IP rights on something you invented just because you work for them. They don't, until you give it to them which is precisely why they want you to think you have to. If they paid you to work on the idea, then it's theirs, otherwise it's only theirs if you give it to them.
