I'm gonna wait till the 1100 I think, unless I come into money. I just got a fury X and it runs like a 47c max dream. If a 1080 hybrid comes out, or if I finally bite the bullet and custom loop if they have one with a pre-fitted block, I won't be getting one (even though I really want one)

Evga has alreadt confirmed a hybrid and a waterblock (hydro variant for evga) is "in the works".

Oh gawd, yes, this is what I wait for, to upgrade my 980ti to that.

Sucks to be anybody that just bought a 980ti or below over the past month.

Pshh, if you bought it at MicroCenter and got their protection plan...no foul done, just get your money back and buy the 1080(ti) Lol.

If you have/had 980s or better would you skip the 1080 generation? trying to figure out if its worth it.

Honestly, the only way I would skip this gen is if on the 1080ti they didn't put HBM on it, and tried to skirt performance upgrades by sticking with GDDR5x, because just no...give us more than enough RAM for all of our graphical needs.

Well if you're a tad bit handy. EK already came out with a block that fits the 1080. EK does not play with being on top of these things.

I may end up selling my 970's to upgrade to a 1080, but most likely not. I've got more important things to pay for right now (i.e. beer) & they do just fine on everything I play (or if they don't my eyes can't tell lol).
