Can somebody explain what this TEST vs Goon thing is all about? Since alot of people are new to TEST (including me), it would be nice to have an explanation.

I won't be the best to answer this as I wasn't apart of it, but you need to join up with our org on RSI! :P

Well I personally think that there is nothing wrong with being civil to each other. I think that making enemies without a game out yet would be just a disadvantage at game time and turn our logo into a target. Like I said in my post on RSI, its too early to find out our relationship yet. I would be more apt to want to have them as a powerful ally, but I'm sure there will be others in Reddfaction that would rather keep them as enemies which would make it very hard. However, I also think that we can always help change Reddfaction's mind on that if need be.

This is speculation stuffs, though.

I wasn't around for any of it, but the short version of the story is that Goons and TEST Alliance were friends, both grew up to be amongst the biggest organizations around in EVE, and then they fought a knock-down drag out fight that resulted in TEST Alliance losing a majority of its territory.

If I knew more of what I was talking about, I could say that Goons helped TEST Alliance get big, and that Goons stabbed TEST Alliance in the back, but I have no idea and so shouldn't say stuff like that. (though it's the vague impression I've gotten as I've tried to figure out what happened.) I'm sure their side reads differently.

I have yet to see any data on how Organizations will even interact in SC. Does anyone know what it means in SC to be an ally or an enemy?

Nope but I look at it like this, is better to have friends then it be completely be irrelevant than to have enemies and Org interaction be imperative to functioning in lawless space.

As short as I can make it while including the most details:

Dreddit was a new baby corp in Eve and one of their precious mining ops got hot dropped by Goons. Dreddit somehow managed to look cute while fighting back. Goons liked this and took Dreddit under their wings. A few wars later Goons evolved into Cluster Fuck Coalition and Dreddit evolved into Test Alliance Please Ignore. After a while Test noticed that the list of CFC allies is increasing which meant less targets for them to shoot at and (from their prespective) a more boring game. Eventually (and I'm a bit hazy on the details of this part) Honey Badger Coalition was created and HBC and CFC went to war. Then things happened and it ended up being Test Alliance against the CFC. This obviously meant the defeat of Test in null-sec space (The famous battle of 6-VDT). Test was kicked out. Now Test Alliance people hate the CFC.

Contemporary Test history: Test after their defeat went to low security space to participate in faction warfare and make money. Now we are redeploying to null sec space to annoy CFC pets and run extortion rackets.

Interesting story. As you said starting at zero is the best way as it's a new game with new people on each side.

Goon's are great to have as an Ally, but I doubt you'll be able to convince the rest of Reddfaction. It seems that many of these corps are industrial driven and not looking for pretty flashes of fire like us. I myself would greatly enjoy flying with those gents, there's a good amount of tears and credits to be had.
