I'm sending this from under my bed

which is the only sane place to be

as my neighbors see the Fourth of July as an opportunity to exercise their Second Amendment rights

and I don't want to catch a stray round

if I survive the night it will be clear sailing until Halloween

Here in panhandle of West Virginia (not far from VA/MD borders), neighborhoods have been going all out with their own displays. I was seeing fireworks in every direction, though thankfully no gunshots (were not rural enough for that) :)
