Where you from stranger?
I hail from the frozen north of The United States of America, we are the watchers on the wall, Milwaukee Wisconsin. I currently live in Shenzhen China where I am a executive in an electronics company. If you need something that China can provide, I can be your local connection (for the next year or so).
What drew you to Star Citizen?
So I backed this game on kickstarter way back in 2012 and promptly forgot about it. I started seeing articles online and decided to take another look and WOW, I was blown away! I was hoping for a good space combat quasi-sim and what I was going to get was much more than that. I started buying up ships, preaching the good word. I am fully hype.
What do you look forward to most in Star Citizen? (PVP, Exploration, etc)
I want to say exploration, but the reality is that everything they explain makes me like it. The mining sounds good, MINING? On day one, myself and friends (who will be joining in the future) are looking forward to exploration (In our Connie Aquila). A little while after that, who knows.
What was the first game you remember playing?
X-Wing for PC. It came on 12 floppy disks. When TIE Fighter came out, it blew my young mind.
What other games do you play?
My connection in China is rather poor, unless I'm playing on Chinese servers. Planetside 2 was my main jam for a few years but the ping to the east coast is too high to play now. I look forward to some boarding actions, in Planetside 2 I was with a group that specialized in airborne tactics. I play a bit of War Thunder, and as many single player games as I can get my hands on. I'm rather fond of Mount & Blade: Warband and it's various mods. SC seems to work OK, but I'll be back in the US before the PU launches.
How did you first hear about Test Squadron and what convinced you to join?
I was in ADI before I joined TEST. At the time I did not realize that TEST offered an organized play experience, after the recent poor choices by the ADI leadership I started looking again. As a heavy lurker on Reddit, my eye was drawn to TEST. Your recruitment materials and overall attitude really drew me and my girlfriend in. Your update #8, and it's use of an A Perfect Circle song sealed the deal.
Picard or Kirk?
Kirk is a man after my own heart, that being said Picard is the superior captain. He is strong when the situation calls for it, flexible when needed and a consummate diplomat.
Edit: I mistook a remix of an A Perfect Circle song for a NIN song.
