I need to spend another $10,000

So apparently there is another rank beyond Completionist called 'Legatus'. It's for people who have backed $25,000+.

I want it.

Thing is... I don't exactly know what to buy. I mean I know we have 15,000 members, but wouldn't buying more capitals be overkill? I don't usually make these types of threads but honestly, for the first time, I don't really WANT anything.

So currently I have:

2x Javelin
2x Idris-P
2x Hammerhead
1x Polaris

I had just considered purchasing the 10k or 15k package and saying screw it, but those packages are SO very messy. I really don't need all those damn ships. So then I considered some more capitals .. for a total of like

3x Javelin
5x Idris-P
5x Hammerhead
5x Polaris

But then it was like... would we ever even use that many? I don't know, I'm open to suggestions. One way or another im getting this rank lol.

Yes, to your thought of additional capitals.

Since the Idris is the only known ship to transport Tonk's we will need many, and they will need Hammerheads' and Polarii in their battle groups - and it will let us dominate systems at a time.

I suppose thats probably the cleanest and best option considering my love of big ships. I just didnt know if we'd ever use that many.

If we think we will then i guess why not.

Are you talking about legatus certificate? I thought that was for wing commander rank and above.

Waiting seems like the right idea, nothing special is for sale. I would advise you not to spend anymore, but i'm not your mother so go for it :D

2018 is the year for new utility ships mostly. I'm sure something cool will pop up.

Get a few single seaters for whenever you just feel like scooting around the verse or just need a quick flight from A to B, you need something to fill up those Idris/Javelin hangars anyways ;)

I purposefully don't do smaller ships to force myself to use an aurora at the beginning.

Wow. I'm not sure if I'm more envious or jealous. But with 3 Javelins and 5 of the rest of the Cap ships, you'll probably need the rest of the Org to man them. I here bt volunteer to run the scanning station on any of your Cap ships.

Seriously, though, If you have the funds and do this and later figure that it was too much, you can always melt one or two of the Cap ships. Then you would have more than enough credit to be able to fuel, arm and supply the others with npc's for the rest of your SC life.

Would have to agree with the sentiments from others, it is looking like 2018 will be the season of utility ships so waiting for those will likely fit into your hanger theme better.

Still, adding a few Caterpillars to support all those big ships might not be a bad idea!

Now the interesting question is, how do you plan on maintaining a fleet of 5x each of the most expensive military ships? I'd say you need a fleet of Hull Es for some credit generation. Or maybe BMMs.

I forgot about the Starfarer, they'll be needed to fuel all the TESTies crewing those ships with their hourly allotment of beer.

Hull Es also need Caterpillars and Starfarer support due to limited landing options, was stated in one of the RSI videos they'll have to be loaded/offloaded with mid sized cargo ships for most locations.
