Correct, wave 1 I managed to get it into the cart, then it kept giving me error code pop-ups when I went to pay until the pop up said that it was out of stock.
That's exactly what was going to happen. You would have to be godly with your speed to get it on wave 1. What you needed to do is keep it in your cart until wave 2. Fill out all payment requirements before, store credits makes it so much easier, and just simply click pay, scroll to accept and click complete. You can do it in 1 second. repeat several times until it goes into the payment cycle and you've got it.
With mine I start 1 minute before so I can get into a rhythm. I won all my f5's with this method.
Actually, this was exactly what I did for wave 2 & then wave 3. Wave 2 gave me a glitch saying that my coupon was invalid even though it hadn't actually been used yet. Wave 3 glitch said that I didn't have enough store credit, even though I had a few hundred store creds more than enough to cover the difference, then showed that it had been sold out already before I could try again. Honestly, it feels as though CIG has it programmed against those that were using store creds to purchase an Idris.
I used store creds to get my Idris but cash for the Javelin. You must have just tried it at the wrong time as many others fried the store trying to get it done. when I did it, I tried 1 minute before the wave drop and just repeated until I got it moments after 00.00 UTC so I was first inline luckily.
Looks like the gremlins conspired against you with the creds and coupon. sorry mate. Looks like next year is yet another wait to try again.
True indeed, perhaps I'll be playing the anime Goblin Slayer in the background the next time this opportunity happens, in hopes of scaring those little buggers away from stopping me again. LoL
If you actually did that method then it must have been just a lot of bad luck. Next time be right on it and you will get your ships.
Luck has not been on my side for the past couple years, so that doesn't surprise me any. No worries though, I'm as stubborn as the state of Texas is decently sized. lols

Since I don't think anyone answered this question here, the Idris upgrade kits are available at any time in the pledge store once you own an Idris. You can't pick them up when you're buying the Idris, so don't worry, you won't miss out on them. You can focus on the race to get the Idris itself.
Thanks for the support my friend as well as the info about the kit for afterwards. I've been all sorts of curious about the kit, while doing my best to focus on getting the prize. Now I've got several months to work on my patience until its next potential availability.
Has anyone else noticed that while there's still an Apex and Zenith hall at IAE, instead of each manufacturer having their ships on display for 48 hours, each display is only open for 24 hours. The halls still alternate, so only one or other hall is open at once. I wonder why.

Typical CIG incompetence, they fucked something up that used to work, and they expect to not be competent enough at their jobs to fix it before IAE ends.

I am looking at the sales numbers, and unless the Paladin pulls in a TON of money, this IAE won't be the moneymaker they hoped....
