Just in case you wanted a bit of nostalgia. My wife has been informed that she will be purchasing this for me as a Christmas present. She then got upset with me because I spoiled her surprise. I guess she was already planning on it. My wife is amazing...

I really don't see the point in it. I can snag emulators and not deal with more crap laying around my living room. They make a USB NES controller if you're desperate for that classic controller feel. I dunno, maybe I'm just a crotchety old man. Get off my lawn and such.

I have actually had my old Asus Netbook running NES, SNES, Genesis, PS1, and even the Saturn (finally got to play panzer dragoon saga). My wife bought me the retro USB NES controller and I can use either a PS controller or Xbox controller for the rest. That setup has gotten me through some really long flights and hotel stays.

I mainly want the mini NES due to it's ease of connection. I can plug that right into my TV and get to playing from my couch. Granted, I have an actual NES, but I don't have all the games that this one comes with. I'm not too worried about redundancy either for $60. I spend less taking my girls to the movies....
