So... This happened. Turns out cheaper than any stock desk/chair mounts. And surprisingly easy to make.

Not crossed that bridge yet, but the plan is to use the extrusion channels, lead the cables to a powered USB hub under the chair and from there just go with one cable to the PC
Sounds like a good plan. TBH, in my mind, I envisioned that set up for myself & I'd accidentally mess things up by forgetting about the cables while having to get up to take care of something elsewhere urgently. Oops
