I'm more of impressed by the dedication to all things Maple than anything.
Im curious to know how this affects all the grow ops that used to get busted every other week in the fancy neighborhoods.
Drug dealers would rent a massive house, gut the interior and start a grow op.
Will this effectively price them out the market?
I think it just may.
Who wants to buy weed from a dealer if you can quality stuff from the beer store.

never mind the beer store, you can just buy it straight from the government.
dealers are gonna have to either branch out to 'artisanal' stuff, or drop their prices to undercut them.
either way they'll be making far less money for a while
Dealers will move to other products. Smaller but more enthusiastic market.
"unregulated" supply is cheaper, no markup for taxes or storefront rent
prices are dropping all over due to increased supply
dealing is merely profitable now, down from ridiculously profitable
Will there come a time when dealing simply can not compete with the legal supply wrt quality and price?
yes, legal sellers will have an advantage when they can sell certified pesticide -free, environmentally friendly product
there is a huge oversupply of legally grown weed in Washington State
prices are 1/3rd what they were pre-legalisation, which hurts both legal and "unregulated" selliers
it's weird, while the Federal laws are still on the books supply can't move to meet demand
