so i usually have been binding headlook to my second joystick x,y axes, but evidently that is borked now and i can't make it work. so i tried aiming with the mouse and flying with the joystick. it used to be that the 2 devices fought each other for primary control and was impossible to use.
they have fixed it.
now the 2 input are, for lack of a better description, additive. so if your joystick is deflected halfway, moving the mouse doesn't jerk you back to zero. it adds the additional mouse movement to the joystick deflection. so you can, for lack of a better description, make macro movements with the joystick and make fine adjustments with the mouse.
i was able to basucally fly perfectly, and also aim and gimble hornet weapons with great precision.
my first mp match in a hornet i went 9/6, a real jump from my 1/1 ratio i managed with aim on a second joystick. it's also pretty fun.
