I saw something yesterday that has shaken me to my core.

If this comes to be, I may as well kiss my world goodbye. The VR headsets are one thing not so earth shaking for me it is all about immersion but you take them off and go on about your business. This thing for me, would be on all of the time. It would not be immersion it is reality altering. I have never had a problem with addictions other than games, and this thing would be my designer drug. Info at my fingertips, social media updates in my peripheral vision, pulling objects from the virtual world to feed into a 3d printer. My mind has been boggled. The potential is limitless, potentially ruin my marriage, alienate me from my children, get me fired from my job. I am looking forward to how this can be tied in to Star Citizen with excitement, as well as fear and trepidation.

AKA Wall-E. Seriously, I don't think this is going to be much more of a problem than smartphones. Those have become so commonplace we don't even think twice about checking them constantly. That's where VR is heading IMO, with things like google glass and such. It will become common to ignore reality. Then we'll all be enslaved by an evil AI. The end.

Oh my god, this looks amazing. There are so many things augmented reality like this could be used for. If this is successful, I hope they will make a version that doesn't look like a pair of ski goggles.

I don't think it will at first, but I can imagine Microsoft being interested in SC implementation. It would definitely encourage sales with application to the video gaming industry. I think a great thing it could be used for is a holographic mobiglas app.
