Hello fellow testies, curious if any of you guys or gals might be interested in helping me out with a small python-based web app.
It started out as a script to see which members of a given steam group (i.e. the Test Squadron group) were currently playing a game, and display them grouped by game. So for example it would say 5 members in Ark, 3 in Rocket League, etc.
I then moved it to a bottle app that displays a web page with who is playing each game, with links to the steam game page, and profile page for each player.
Now I'm working on making it async so gradually updates in the background as a player leaves / joins a game, rather than pulling the entire group each time. For the most part it's working, but it's not very efficient, and I could use some code-review and guidance.
This all then got me thinking that there might be other useful tools to build, like a Steam-based 'looking for group' channel, a google map style war map for Ark, or a Star Citizen job board for TEST cargo runners and escort pilots. Maybe some of this could be integrated into the TEST website as well.
