Hey guys, I made this video in the form of a live stream earlier this evening and I will be releasing it to the wider forums and reddit at some stage in the near future. If anyone is interested in making renders, animations and other machinima with the, free, Cry-engine SDK this is a short guide on getting the assets out of Star Citizen (2.6.3 at the time of writing) and into Cry-engine 3. It is very ad hoc but Im low on time to make proper videos at the moment but it does the job.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Description, with links and stuff:

I don't have much time to shoot, edit and properly release a tutorial for this and a lot of people are asking for it!

This is a live-stream I did of how to port assets into CryEngine and some of the process of applying the materials and textures to them. The ship doesn't look identical to in game in the end but since the point was to direct people in how to go through the process it doesn't matter too much.

Here are some very important links! It has tools and useful info.

Create your own art using RSI assets thread (must read):

Alternative version of the converter for 2.6 if it doesn't work for some reason. Many of the material IDs are preserved:
