FACTIONS
Yes bois this server has factions, and because it has factions, it has heated politics! So far, 2 larger faction/alliances have formed with some smaller non-aligned factions.
Big boy number 1
The Squires, which is Myre and his twitch viewers. They are an oppressive empire, located on a different continent from the starting one. Their empire is accross the sea, east of the spawn.
Big boy number 2
Dank Meme Dominion, an alliance of mutiple factions who fight the oppressive empire of The Squires. Dank Meme Dominion is made up of:
Pimp Daddy Seung's Palace of Pleasure (PDSPoP), lead by the glorious me (GeranS ingame).
Danksville, lead by Vapsyvox.
Wardens, led by Qmega_OMA.
MiddleHornDog,
DudeKnights, led by TheAwesomeDude1.
There's also a few unaligned factions, but they aren't as dank, feel free to start your own faction.
OTHER FACTION STUFF
In chat you will see the faction that that player is in, what rank they are, and their relation to your faction.
RANK:
"-" is a sort of guest, they are part of your faction, but have no build rights or right to open chests.
"+" is a member, members have full rights to everything.
"*" is an officer, they can promote other members, claim land, and send invites.
"**" is the owner, they can do errything.
To promote somebody, type "/f promote <player name>". Note: promoting an officer will make them leader.
The color of a faction name in chat is determined by your relation to them.
Red is enemy
Purple is ally
Green is your own faction
White is neutral

HOW DO JOIN
All factions command start with "/f"
Don't type any of the " or < in the actual game, 'cause thats stupid.
In order to join a faction type: "/f join <faction name>"
The faction leader or an officer has to invite you to their faction in order for you to be able to join, it doesn't matter if they invite you first or if you ask to join first, it will work.
HOW DO MAKE OWN FACTION
To make your own faction type: "/f create <faction name>" or "/f new <faction name>", don't blame me if the second one doesn't work.
To rename your faction type: "/f name"
To give your faction a description type: "/f description <description here>"
HOW DO CLAIM LAND
So you wan't your own territory, eh. Claimed land goes by chunks, so 16x16 and from y 0 to 256 or whatever. To claim a single chunk, stand in the chunk you want to claim and type "/f claim one"
To claim mutiple chunks easily type "/f claim auto". This will claim any chunks you walk into for your faction, as long as they are connected to any of your existing claimed chunks and you have enough power. Type it again to turn off auto-claim.
Q: Power, what do you mean "power"!?
A: See HOW DO LAND LIMIT WORK
Q: can I conquer an enemy's territory?
A: See HOW DO LAND LIMIT WORK
HOW DO RELATIONS
In order to become allies, both factions must want it.
"/f relation <faction name> <relation>"
The four different relations are neutral, ally, enemy, and truce.
An enemy status is required if you wish to damage the other faction's members within their own claim.
HOW DO LAND LIMIT WORK
I managed to figure out how the land limit works, and its actually quite simple.
"/f list" shows you this:
Next to faction names and members online, you see these random slashes and numbers, what do they mean? Well, basically:
Current Land / Power / Power Limit
Current land is how much chunks of land you have (duh). Power Limit is determined by the amount of players in your faction, the limit increases by 10 for every member.
Power is tied to how many faction members are active and online.
"/f status" shows you this:
PDSPoP current power is 17, 10 of which comes from me being online and doing stuff, and 7 from Grammar being online and doing stuff. We get zero power from Jernik and Gearen being lazy and not doing anything. We also have more land than we are actually allowed to claim, this is because our power was higher when this land was claimed.
A player's power decreases over time if they aren't online very often. A player's power also decreases when they die. So don't die.
When your faction's power reaches zero, shit starts to go down. At this point, enemy factions with sufficient power can start to claim your land, which means you lose all rights over the items within those chunks.
HOW DO OTHER STUFF
You can set a home for your faction, that faction member can teleport to using "/f home"
After typing "/f home", you must stand still for 10 seconds, or the teleport will cancel.
IIRC, only the leader can set the faction home, this is done by standing where you want it to be and type "/f sethome"\
"/f map" shows you a text map in the chat box, whichs you can use to see which chunks are claimed.
"/f list" lists all factions, and information about them.
You can switch chat mode to ally specific and faction specific, you can scroll through these modes with "/f chat"

Since you can't destroy other faction's blocks or open their chests and doors unless they allow you to, the only way to break into their fortress is TNT cannons.
This means that any attack on a claim will have to be siege warfare, using TNT cannons built on your own claim or on unclaimed land to break the walls of the enemy's fortress. (Please no skyforts, they really break balance, if you wish to build a skyfort, it can't contain any storage or be used during a siege).
Incase you don't know what TNT cannons are, here's a video
This is a simple single shot cannon, you can build way better ones.

DA RULES
Since siege warfare is a thing, you have to build something that can be sieged.
The following things are not allowed:
1. No skyforts 100 blocks up, unless it is reachable by a decently large permanent bridge.
2. No waterfalls in front of castle walls to stop TNT damaging them.
What you think might not be allowed but actually is:
1. Building obsidian walls. Go for it, if you manage to get enough to build a decent sized wall go ahead, gg, you win. You must however have atleast one breakable (so normal door or piston door) entrance.
