So I did some mining with the Prospector Sunday and went to microtec L1 to refine . Everything was good untill I went to select the ship to put the refined ore in and it wouldn't let me select the Prospector ? . So is this a bug ? I retrieved the Cutlass and could select it so at this point I don't know if I should go somewhere else or what .

Not a bug. You need a cargo ship to haul the refined ore to market.

My mining loop is about 4 loads from prospector to refinery. 1 load from refinery to market in my Connie.

That's a fairly standard practice. I've seen people do similar with the MOLE and ships like the Herc, but you are putting a LOT of money at risk with that type of move. That's when it might pay to hire an escort (for instance, have 2 people from your mining crew in the Herc, and 2 in fighters...)

Honestly, that's probably a great ship to use for this. From an efficiency standpoint, it's better if a mining ship is mining, rather than the pilot having to fly down to the planet to sell the refined product (i.e. instead of mining)

BTW, can you cargo - share? As in, can you load cargo into a a party members ship via the console?

Not yet as far as I know, but the MISC refinery ships and the Orion are going to need this too.

I use a freelancer max - 3 x full prospector refined loads fits easily.
