I know they erased the expanded universe; but if Luke is NOT the villain I hope the villain is Han and Leia's son (Jacen in the books) and the girl is their daughter (Jaina). Doesn't have to match the books; but it could be a "re-telling" of sorts...

I just hope they didn't just take a mash up of some of the novels for the plot. Even if they did I will still happily watch. Until someone says "how wude" then I walk out of the theater.

I am happy to see new Star Wars movies with a ok director and no George Lucas stuff in it.... just wish some of the better books from the post-movie timeline got their own movies and not kicked to the curb though.

To be honest, I really resented the first 3 movies, George Lucas retconned so much good story that was already approved. Made me really angry. I was a huge Star Wars nerd when I was a kid, I played the roleplaying game and everything. There's still a bunch of stuff in the new movie that I think is retarded, not the least of which is the BB-8 droid, which is just lame. They could have used an already in fiction droid, like an R-7, 8, or 9 if they wanted an advanced unit.
