So I have been wanting to do a new build for a while, and am super hyped to report that the parts are ordered and it is going to be quite a beast. On top of gaming/streaming my girlfriend will also be using it for recording/editing music, video, etc. so I really wanted to go all out. Always good to spoil yourself every now and again.

Here's the build for those interested. I'll try to remember to take some pics of the build/finished product.

Very nice. Decided against a fully liquid cooled case?
Only thing I plan to OC is the CPU and even that will just be a light OC. As much as I would love to do a full liquid cool, I'm not ready to attempt it for the first time on this big of a build haha. The nice thing about this case is there is plenty of room to add one later should I so choose, but I'd want someone more experienced along to guide me.

God damn I'm blown away at the parts in your machine! Amazing my friend, I'm so jealous! Of course, being a computer nerd I have a single complaint. Why did you buy a 250 gb ssd and a 1 tb ssd? You should have bought 2, perhaps even 3 512gb ssd and raided them :) RAID0 = LIFE!

So jelly. Later this year before I move to the UK I'm going to go build the best rig I can afford so I can it least have a few years of not having to explain to my new wife why I need very expensive computer parts lol.

That and I'm really interested to see how the Nvidia Pascal tech is going to turn out.

I don't really have a good excuse for that other then my organizational OCD. Just a weird preference I have haha. Pretty sure I'll be just fine either way ;)

Wow... How much did all that cost?

I'm actually planning my first PC build at the moment (primarily for star citizen). Although I'm working with a budget haha. £2000 since I want a great rig but can't afford to go over kill. I think that I've actually done well in terms of the parts I've picked so that I could keep within the budget but still have a rig more than capable of doing what I need it for.

Yeah this is an overboard build, had been putting a bit of cash aside for a while with the intention of going a bit crazy with it haha

The big one I'm drooling over is how fast load times would be on some of the new gaming motherboards that have RAID0 M.2 ports on the board. That might be the only thing I'd swap if I was building a killer rig right now.

This family of TESTicles will be where I come when it's time to build my own rig. For now I just buy way overpriced laptops.
