Need to know the specs before we start throwing our wallets at the screen!

Who am I kidding?

Most of us will buy it regardless!

If we were smart, we would wait for the next gen.

For the longest time it has been Q4 of 2015. Past few month oculus said: "it might not make 2015 release" and now its official, Q1 2016.

I'd probably wait for Oculus to release. Dive deep into comparison between Vive and Rift, do a full PC upgrade and buy the best VR solution available

I would wager that specific details for both Rift and Vive are being saved for E3 (which is only a month away). Samsung and HTC have a lot of leverage on how their display tech is announced.

Given the amount of moneyz we all dropped on virtual spaceships, 350 for an actual hardware device seems fairly reasonable, no?

Given the amount a couple of us have spent already, here are some alternatives you might find appropriately relative.

Icarus Avenger ($940 - $3,100)

Titan 6K ($26,300)

Wow. Not saying I would spend all that kind of money on a simpod, but those are pretty damn amazing. But I think I want a gaming computer that can do something besides Star Citizen, lol

No problem my man, it works with all kinds of games :) The Titan, however, might be a weird experience.

They also state that the 3D capability of some of their supported projectors are as immersive a VR experience as anything else. Will have to wait and see if thats true.

The Rift will not be for most of us "Hardcore Gamers". Especially, this version of it.

The hardware from VRVana, Valve/HTC, will be the ones we want. Save your pennies and do it right men. Also, these are changing the game.
