Yea sorry about that.. if I knew it was your ship...
Don't sweat it. I get offed for less valid reasons than a propper ship-jacking all the time.
At least I didn't get shot in the back in some remote mission location by some bored kid that wants to do PVP but is to scared to actually face someone that shoots back.
So he/she/it waits until you walk by with a parcel in hand and then pulls the trigger.
That's actually one of the reasons i usually run around in the most ugly loot i can muster.
So those fools don't earn shit.
The other reason is that I do have no eye for haute couture...

Funny, I practice space hauling using my C2 after a flight change update with a cargo bay full of waste, just in case either the system is bugged like crazy or some random wanna be space pirate wants to hyjack my load. In case of the latter, the jokes on them, they can eat the waste & will hopefully soon get wasted themselves.

Zeus Mk II? MFDs? Is flying any good these days? What have I missed? Lol. I reckon I *could* just log in and play, but then I wouldn't have an excuse to start pinging y'all with questions that are readily answered with a quick google search, lol.
Ah well, it's all talk about coming changes in Patch 3.24.2 (whenever that one will hit).
We'll get the RSI Zeus MK II ES (Explorer) and CL (Cargo) variants to crash in.
And new MFDs designs. A little less clutter as well as color schemes fitting the manufacturer.
So Aegis gets cool blue MFDs and DRAKE cheap orange ones or somesuch.
Bottomline: Buttons on MFDs will be easier to hit.
That's a plus in my book.
PS: Flying is okay after the second hotpatch or so.
At the start of Patch 3.24.1 my bird had it's back glued to the ground more than once.
IF the engine deemed it necessary to heed my call for ignition at all.
So glad that phase seems to be over .

PS: Is there an actual Tardis overtaking the Zeus MK II at 4:59 ?

Thanks for the rundown! I've heard that MM made flying less than desirable, but I haven't actually hopped in to try it out (I just haven't been gaming quite as much as I used to). I had heard things like your backwards facing turrets on ships like the MSR are now useless, as you can't fire weapons when your change to "runaway mode". I reckon there's a decent video out there that breaks it all down without just bitching about it - I'll go find one, lol.

Looking forward to the Zeus - if she's as nice as I'm hoping, it may replace the MSR. I was stoked for the CL with that tractor beam , but I have an ATLS now, so maybe I'll upgrade to the EX. I like those nice big living areas, lol.

I share the mood and excitement to take a whirl in my new Zeus explorer. All I hope for is an elegant flight model that compliments the lines and all will be right in the void.
Of course it could be a pretty space brick at this moment in time and my smile would still be hard to remove from my face.

Well, yes and no.
MM forced us to change some tactics. But truth be told, I usually run away from a fight when my shields fail and I get more than I can give.
So more speed for a shield shutdown? Deal!
Sucks for the Tailgunners, sure. But thanks to the upcoming gameplay elements they can make themselves usefull and put out fires or repair the coffee maker.
Besides, some people use MM for some nasty tactics.
Like run, turn, Alpha strike the fastes pursuer in the face with their pants... pardon... shields down.
You know, that kinda stuff.

Aaaand suddenly I am reminded of that Top Secret! Movie from way back in the days...
German Officer: "What he did not realize was that, in this country, we use 220 volt current. He was found impaled upon a large electrical device. Our surgeons did what they could, but it took them two hours just to remove the smile from his face."

But yes, I'd probably be completely happy just getting my hands on that Zeus MKII CL.
No matter if she dances or tumbles.
Though I have that nagging suspicion that the flight model at flight-ready sale and a few months later into the game might not be completely comparable.

I guess the only answer then is to get into game and play. That just sounds like so much work, lol.

Do we figure they're going to stick with this flight model? I'm getting ever so slightly tired of the thought of having to learn a new one, lol

Ha!
That's gotta be one of them "Rhetorical Questions" thingadings, right?
"Stick with it"
As if!
The only permanence in this game is this:
The money you invested?
Never gonna see that again!
Everything else is deepest, darkest Alpha territory.
So don't bother saving those keyboard mappings...
The only upside is that I suck as a pilot so it doesn't matter what system they implemented anyway. :like:

With respect, I disagree my friend. From my perspective, there is the permanence of "TEST Squadron, BEST Squardon" being the best sort of people to enjoy the Verse as well as other games / activities with. Can I get a "Cheers!" from any that agree with me?

Add some explosives to your cargo (future state) and yeah they'll certainly get wasted. lol
In general, I'd prefer to avoid carrying the explosives mixed in with the other waste cargo, at least until they bring shielded cargo containers into the verse. However, I might be able to assemble a means of allowing refined quantum ore or containers of hydrogen to mix in with the waste, holding a small remote detonator in the middle of the cargo bundle. This might seem weak to some or crazy to others, but for those old enough to remember what happened at the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, that was caused by just a few 50gal drums outside a moving van on the street inside. I'm thinking of 672scu of a similar matter, except that the fuel source will be exponentially more powerful, inside of a C2 Hercules as they & their pirate crew are gathered in a quantum jump, where there is no escape.

Of course, if I really wanted to shine the pirates on & make them hate their choices into their next existences, when my ship would enter quantum after the remote is activated, it would start playing this song into the comms of all ships its connected to, so all of those pirates traveling with my ship would be serenaded. I think this song would be perfect to force on their delicate ears before their demise.

Or possibly:

Nope.
if you ever get the chance to pull one over those guys then only one song conveys the full futility of those poor fools endeavor:

Tick, Tick, BOOM!

Ha, you and me both! These dual Gladiators just make crashing SO MUCH MORE fun!
That is... actually true.
Especially sine finally, FINALLY!!!, my Omnithrottle arrived in the mail.
Damn have I been waiting for this one...
