Just a little FYI, but @PaulEPeptide generously donated a Quadro 4000 workstation graphics card to my robotics team.

MRW I install it, "upgrading" from GTX 480 SLI configuration (actually downgrading from 3GB of GDDR to 2GB, but the computer doesn't notice it at all)...

I slapped that bitch into the computer faster than a TESTie crashing an Aurora and HOLY SHIT does it make everything better.

Previously, I had two GTX 480 cards in an SLI, and it was... well, I would say it was decent. That's 3GB of GDDR goodness across two GPUs.

As soon as I had the drivers for the Quadro installed, I loaded up Solidworks and ZOMG THE SOFTWARE IS PUTTING IN THE LITTLE MIRRORED EFFECT UNDERNEATH THE ROBOT! EVERYTHING IS SMOOTH! MY GOD, IT'S FULL OF STARS!

I hereby nominate him for the position of "Giver of Computer Parts to High School Children", or "CP Giver", for short.

Sure, title me "CP Giver", there's no negative connotation there at all.

I'm glad it's getting some good use! I swapped it out for a k2200 six months ago and it's been sitting on a shelf ever since.
