So I've been checking my hangar and currently this is the standing of my personal fleet.
Cutlass Black LTI (Probably my go to ship)
Freelancer LTI (Will upgrade to a MAX for my cargo freighter) (original package)
Drake Buccaneer Anniversary sale (My go to fighter ship because I LOVE THIS SHIP)
Avenger Titan LTI ( My "oh shit i need more firepower but I still need to run cargo and beer" ship)* (original package)
Origin 350R LTI (Possible melting but not sure yet)*
Drake Dragonfly Anniversary sale (Only "ground" ship)
RSI Orion (Big ass ship that I am having second thoughts on owning cuz I would need 7 perma friends to use)
On Buy back:
RSI Constellation Andromeda LTI *
2 Hornet Ghosts LTI **
325A LTI **
315pLTI **
* Possible CCU
** LTI tokens
--------------------------------------
My possible use of the buy backs
1- Get a Ghost to have a Medium/Stealth fighter
2- Get me a Prospector (Unless CIG decides to give us Orion owners a Prospector on loaner when Mining comes out)
3- Get me that Drake Salvage ship
4- Melt the ORION and get back my connie.......
5- Buy back 315P and CCU to a Reliant SEN

What would you guys suggest if you were on my situation?

I think you have a nice assortment of ships. I believe that if a vehicle comes up that really gets your attention & you can afford it, then good times. Other than that, I recommend testing out the various ships you can rent from the game to see what you like, what you don't & as the various game features become active you can check them out as well to see what areas you like & dislike. Once you have a good grasp on that, then you can look into what sort of fleet you'll want to have.

Personally, at this point anyways, I'm a bit of a knock off of Ash Ketchum from Pokemon because I'd love to "catch them all". ;p

I think you should tailor your hangar towards what you want to do in the game. Which you provided none of to us. So I dont really know what to tell you.
@Printimus .. I really was expecting a different answer from you.. "BUY ALL THE SHIPS® Printimus Enterprizes"

Your Cutlass Black, Freelancer and Avenger kind of overlap. Also, the Avenger is less of a ship than either the Cutlass or the LancerIf you don't care for your 350R that much, I'd melt the Lancer+Avenger+350R and buy back the Andromeda.
You'll be left with a Cutlass Black (for general use and solo-ing), a Buccaneer (solo fighting), Andromeda (general use, group play), Dragonfly (for ground) and Orion for the big $$$.

With the Orion you can use NPCs in place of real players 7 players is not to much and im sure its going to be a great money maker ship which could afford those 7 people.

Hmm two overlaps is all I would deal with. The Avenger titan is surplus to requirements the cutlass black is basically the upgrade for this. I would upgrade your titan to this as it is your game package and melt the black (you do not list the Orion as LTI so possibly depending on whether you want the asteroid crusher keep both until you can CCU to the Orion.)

I also think the Max overlaps with the Connie, i.e. both mid sized generalist ships. You have no explorers so possibly I would convert the connie to the Aquila just to rover around. I know you can put the dragonfly in the black but heh it is a choice.

You have 3 or 4 ships you can fly anytime and a big occasional ship the orion. What is it you want? NB some overlap is fine especially for ships you will fight with as the game will include PVP and you will crash. So perhaps a second combat ship instead of the 350 (to be honest I would wait for the 300 series refit first).

So my Final-Preliminary-Pre Alpha Fleet as it stands now:
Cutlass Black, RSI Constellation Andromeda, RSI ORION, MISC Freelancer, Drake Dragonfly and Buccaneer. I'm buying an Aquila upgrade next month. I melted the 350R (gave up on waiting for the rework) and the titan into a connie, I still have my original Connie on buyback just in case.

I was going to suggest the same as @supitza. Best bang for your buck, and you can only fly one at a time.

I think you've chosen correctly. In my humble opinion, haha.

Also, are any of those ships in buyback game packages? If so, I may be interested if you're willing to part with any. PM me if you are. Cheers.

I would drop either the MAX or the Connie (most likely the Connie if you get the Aquila) or a possible upgrade to the Caterpillar. Eventually the Cat will have modules offering more flexibility and goes with your Drake Collection.

If you want a Stealth fighter I would suggest the Sabre.
as much as I love Drake and the IDEA of the Caterpillar, that placement of the command module...... The view :(. guess I need to fly one

How can you have a "go-to" ship until you decide what you want to do?

IMHO, it is most important right now to connect with other players and look for fulfilling groups to game with. You will eventually want to spend money (game or real) on NPC's, and until we know more about that, it is hard to guess how many ships you can manage. Thing is, right now you don't have to own anything past a single Aurora. You're surrounded by folks who need turret gunners, scanner specialists, boarding party Master Sargents, contract negotiators, prospectors, gas miners, transport pilots and yeah, even those who own ships they intend to take the second seat in and who want a pilot for their Sentinel, etc.

So just saying, the first thing is not buying ships. It is making friends and learning how the game works. Montoya has been saying this for years and he is right.

In my personal humble opinion, before you do any melting or upgrading, if you have any REC saved up, then I would advise "renting" a particular ship for a week to test out how it flies & feels to you before making any other decisions. Just remember that 3.0 was just released, still has plenty of bugs & most of the staff if not all at CIG are on holiday break until early next month. So I would recommend patience ATM. As @Montoya & many others state, you only need 1 starter package to play around in the verse. As many people have also stated, there are many of us running around with ships with extra crew positions that would be happy to team up with you & go do crazy things. We are TEST Squadron, the BEST Squadron.
