It just occurred to me that I've had a root beer float, but have never had a beer float. Anyone tried one or know what would pair well?
wow... This is a great question I never even thought about this either.
I have! was accidental the first time. Snack for an game. Was carrying too much and a Sam Adams half emptied into one of the bowls of ice cream. It wasn't bad, but was missing something. Then I discovered it's an actual thing, and also solved the "missing something" feeling. Check out Beer Ice Cream

I think the advice is pretty good, but a somewhat bitter beer just needs something like nutmeg.
