I can not express how in doubt i am with buying polaris.....
It looks awesome! Would love to have it.
But then i get reality check...what would mostly solo player do with polaris? Will it be solo playable ever? Even with NPC rentals.....
What could solo player even do with it?

This has been an interesting year for the ships in the Verse & the possibilities for the next year seem to be on track as well. Here's hoping that by the end of this next year that we'll have a larger player cap per server, some efficiency tuning to help keep the game stable with the additional players, get a handful of ships newly released into the Verse with some of them already known & others as surprises AND considerable progress towards server meshing so that we can soon roam, explore & experience SC as a the multi-system place it's meant to be.
I'm a mostly solo player & I have many multi-crew ships. I added them to my fleet to help support the project as well as to use them with friends when our schedules align. I hope that this helps in some way. Cheers!
I don't think a solo player can do anything with a Polaris except give it to a group of privateers, who would certainly take it away from someone trying to pilot a ship like that alone. There is just no way to do all that needs to be done with one player.

I understand this sentiment and have a similar dilemma. Though I never intend to fly my Polaris solo, my 'normal' playgroup size in usually only 2-3 people, and while much better than solo, I'm still not entirely sure this will really be enough to run/use the ship. I'm still absolutely in LOVE with the idea of flying a BIG ship around and then popping a smaller fighter out of the larger ones hanger, but now the BMM and Odyssey seem like valid alternatives to the Polaris. . . though TBH I'm still leaning towards it!
