Previous BIS paints back to 2949 all on sale separately

For anyone who has wanted a previous Best In Show paint they missed, and been put off by the rarity and high prices, good news! All BIS paints going back to 2949 are available in the pledge store for a limited time. I don’t believe CIG have ever done this before.

If you paid over the odds for a ship or CCU with a sought-after BIS paint, like the 2950 paints, this will be a bit disappointing. I guess CIG would rather have that money themselves than let grey market resellers profit from the rarity of these paints. Looks like a continuation of the trend that previously rare or exclusive things are being sold more often now.

Nothing is rare any more they are happy to just sell it all as much as possible. F8C being a prime example.

This is a good change, and hopefully will mean that other, "limited"/"event" based items/paints may also be made available again (Of course, CIG took away my "need" for the 2950 Valkyrie BIS paint when they released the Asgard at a lower price than the Valkyrie, but with essentially the 2950 BIS colours as the default paint and the concierge paint making it look like Valkyrie Liberator).

In the case of BIS paints, previous owners are only really losing the "exclusivity" of the paints (Other than perhaps the 2949 ones, which were a "different" ship), as the paints were free (either handed out if you owned the ship, or included as a bonus with the ship/CCU). As"everything will be able to be acquired/earned in-game", there really isn't much reason that they shouldn't be sold as individual items as well (It would be a nice move if CIG were to also have them on sale at IAE for aUEC) to allow people to avoid the "grind" to get them in-game if they wish... I was pleasantly surprised that they aren't warbond, too.

Given CIG have gutted all the game packs of the items/posters which used to be included (along with the armor/clothing/weapons/etc.), it would be good to see these made available in-game at vendors (and individually in the pledge store) one day soon as well. It would also be nice to see the "default" paints of ships with variants be able to be split from the ship and sold individually so that they could be applied to the other variants.

Now that there are individual paints for the 2949 BIS (instead of a special variant of the Cutlass Black with the "skin" locked to it), I wonder what it looks like on the Cutlass Red/Blue with light on...
