Question about stuff purchased in EA/Voyager

So I have some weapons and a shield generator I purchased from Voyager Direct I think a couple years ago, don't think if I am using them anymore, is it worth it to melt those, and if I did that would be store credit or UEC not aUEC, right?

You get UEC credited back to your account. However your aUEC is now based on your UEC total, so you will get aUEC also.

If you do not plan to use them then Yes, melt them for UEC.
if you later change your mind, you can get them in game - now with aUEC -- later with UEC.
