A not so random image for my French brethren.
For reference, Marquis de La Fayette (his actual name was Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier!) was a French military officer and a hero to the Americans in the Revolutionary war. He was the primary man responsible for French intercession in America's independence and notable for his service in combat. When the American forces came to support the Allies in WWI, Colonel Stanton and General Pershing visited Lafayette's tomb and these famous words were spoken to indicate that America had not forgotten Lafayette's name and they had come to defend the French in part to honor Lafayette's interdiction in their own independence.
Fun fact, he named his son George Washington :)
