What drew you to Star Citizen?
I'm generally a fan of sci-fi/space games in general (aka GoF2, SoaSE, etc.) and was looking into trying a more...sandboxy? Is that the right word? Open world? Type of game that fit that category, when I wandered into Star Citizen.

What do you look forward to most in Star Citizen? (PVP, Exploration, etc)
Exploration and Trading are most likely the things I'll be interested in. I always enjoy co-operative gameplay more than competitive.

What was the first game you remember playing?
Probably Super Mario 64, it miiiight have been Mario Kart 64. Pretty sure it was the first one, though!

What other games do you play?
Warframe and LoL are probably the biggest "online" games I play, though I was involved with EVL gaming in TF2 a few years back. Otherwise I play almost anything as long as it's fun. AC4, Starbound, Rogue Legacy, Saints Row, etc. Although I'm realizing I tend to stay away from FPS's

I sure hope there are some awesome treasures to be found through exploration of old ancient wrecks and exploration. Finding new wormholes, wrecks with prototype weapons, and new systems was one of my favorite parts about Freelancer! I definitely want to go space treasure hunting and trade routing with you!

I hope so too! Though I fear I may have picked the wrong ship for such exploration, seeing as I've got an Anvil >.> Ah well, I suppose if there's someone with an Idris who's planning on exploring, I can try and hitch a ride with them. Maybe upgrade to the Sensor version of the Anvil!

Well I could see us wanting an Idris to run/limp home to if we ran across fellow scavengers/treasure hunters like the Brony Alliance. But I think that smaller more maneuverable ships would be much better for navigating the asteroid fields/space chunks/space wrecks. And an Idris might just get pounded. (Like the Executor chasing the Falcon into the Asteroid Field.) That was the case in Freelancer (with the exception of the irradiated areas, where speed was the only advantage). I can't seem to find any videos to link for you though :(

The TEST manefesto certainly indicated there'd be a niche for everyone. I can't imagine starkestrel not comissioning a division of treasure hunters! (Perhaps it could be called Drake Squad in homage to a certain scoundrel of fourtune? :D)

Oooh that'd be fun! And I mentioned the Idris more as a base to operate out of. Flying out to new areas to explore in a small ship isn't necessarily gonna be possible with their limited fuel supply. Just have the larger ship to get there, then the scouts to actually check everything out/deep scan stuff. Plus, as you yourself mentioned, the security of backup with bigger guns :P

To be fair, though, I can't say I know for sure *exactly* how all this is going to work out in game, so maybe the smaller ships will have enough fuel to explore just fine!

What would be my treasure hunter porn is something like the Katana Fleet from the Zhan trilogy. A fleet of ancient dreadnaughts, that jumped to an unknown part of space. Everyone wants to find the ships and claim them as their own.

"The fleet fell victim to a hive virus that wiped out the crew after driving them insane. In their insanity, the captain ordered a jump to random hyperspace coordinates before his death. Because of the slave circuits, every other vessel in the group followed suit, and the Katana fleet disappeared, presumably making no further communication with either the Republic or the galaxy at large."

If they hid something like that and left only an obscure trail of clues for people to follow....

I've been mulling over what might have prompted this statement. Is it because of ole' Mal and John Crichton up above? Have I become a treasure pirate without realizing it? Is someone impersonating me in chat? If pictures have gotten out of me, I swear I only look like Johnny Depp. Really. Truly. Movie stars don't have time to hang out in forums for games that haven't yet launched.
