What are your thoughts on other players and grouping up in SC?

Hey all,

With all the talk about Starfield and it being solo vs multi-player, I thought I would ask a question on what you enjoy most about SC with regards to solo vs multi player. I am looking at both how you feel about group play and how you feel about other players. The choices are open to multiple responses. You are also free to expand your thoughts below. But please keep it to grouping and other players in the game vs a solo game, not the differences in game mechanics.

The biggest issue I have with the game wrt grouping up is that it should simply show every TEST member who is online, but also attempt to group us in a server. WIth the friends list getting wiped every other patch, there are so many people I need to keep re-adding every time.

You would think with how tightly knit Spectrum and the game are, the friends list would just stay synced up each time.

Firstly, sometimes I like myself, sometimes I like you guys and gals. Just depends on mood.

Secondly they need to do something that makes an org an org/clan/guild. Right now there's still nothing - you have to manually add people as friends the org has nothing to do with it.

There should be like an org platoon thing where any orgmates on the server are automatically visible and you automatically get a test comms channel / party / friend set up whether you want to use it or not.

My wife and I play games together.
Star Citizen doesn't allow proper solo play, much less group play, to date.

It's a space sim but flying with a wingman, even when the wingman is in the same IRL room with you is difficult, with the lag, stutter, and lack of visual indicators makes that very difficult, at best.

The 'right' group size, IMO, is 2-4. More than that and it just gets too cumbersome to get everyone grouped up, in the same server, at the same location, too much chatter, yadda yadda. But even if it's just two people the experience is orders of magnitude more interesting than solo with significantly more available to do, and I think 3-4 is the "perfect" group size!

As cool as this would be and I do hope for it someday, the current workaround of just entering "Test Squadron Best Squadron" in global chat is really *almost* as good. . . :D
