Should we make a section in the "Others" tab for board games?

Add a board game section next to the other games section?

There are some exceptionally nerdy board games such as Warhammer 40k, Battletech, and the old standard D&D that seem like they would fit quite well into our culture. I suspect I am not the only here with a passion for them, and wondered if there was any other interest in expanding our community forums to make connections easier. Obviously, we could just place these in the "other games" section, but that would muddle it up, and make it more difficult for people to find out about them.

Any game that can be played whilst beer is drunk should have a home somewere even if its just in the corner ;D
I agree. I'm not sure I understand why people would vote "no", the only difference it would make would be seung adding a spare section, or even a subsection INSIDE "other games" to allow people with a passion for that type of thing not to muddle up the normal clan-related gaming :/

i'm not sure i understand why you would add a poll if you would not understand the reasoning for the "no" but i'll give it a shot

talking about boardgames on internet that you play at home...

Because even if I don't understand it, I respect your opinion. That's actually quite a reasonable argument.

then again, things like 40k and battletech are rarely played at home. They're competitive, often in large tournaments with clubs and cash prizes for winners.
40k is especially relevant, because you have to purchase, build and paint your units from kits. People can discuss tactics, army lists for different point settings, and expose others to a fun game. That's really the most important reason why we would do that. Most of the posts in the "other games" sections are actually asking to see if the rest of the community plays the games, rather than organizing or discussing tactics. It would be no different with this. A random clicker can be exposed to the basics, and hopefully try it out, and members of the TEST community can find others with a similar interest, then move to contact them through other mediums regarding 40k.

In essence, it's just another way for people inside the TEST community to get together. I could go onto one of the random 40k forums, but I would have no relation and probably never meet, go on team speak with or interact with the people on there. It would be faceless typing as the only way to work with them. In the TEST community (which by the way is a cross-game community, there are tons of different games TEST has an organized (and that term is used loosely :p)presence in) I will be frequently interacting with all of them. This would allow us to update and keep up correspondence, thereby improving each other's experience by providing long-term input on our ideas regarding the game. You couldn't do that with other communities.
