Sorry, could i use your restroom real quick? (Aneem Al'Fakkar introduction thread)

What's up, astronauts?
My name's Carsten, reporting in for saying hello to everyone.

Where you from stranger?

I am from the land of sauerkraut and beer, Germany.

What drew you to Star Citizen?

Basically, a friend sent me a link to RSI and i decided to put somewhat unreasonable amounts of money into it. Can't really go wrong with spaceships, right?

What do you look forward to most in Star Citizen? (PVP, Exploration, etc)

Huge escorts should look and feel pretty awesome. So i guess that's exploration, PVP and cruising all in one.

What was the first game you remember playing?

I could just say Pokemon Silver but that would be too easy, wouldn't it? Okay then, let's go with "Die Maus". That might even be the first game I ever played. Here's some random footage of it that came up when I googled it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxAKdpNN0BI

What other games do you play?

A bit of Battlefield, Team Fortress 2, obviously Goat Simulator. I'm really looking forward to Killing Floor 2 <3

Picard or Kirk?

Just put 'em in a blender, I'll take whatever comes out of it.

I currently own a F7C Hornet which I aim to glue as many guns to as possible.
Also, I was thinking about getting a Freelancer MAX because of reasons. Opinions on that?

Thanks for bearing my post,
Carsten

Welcome!

If you know you want a solo or small team trader, you wouldn't go wrong with the MAX. My initial package was a Hornet and I've been thinking I'd work my way up to a trading vessel in-game, but it's sorely tempting to start with one. My problem is that I can't decide between a Freelancer/Connie/Merchantman. The more solo nature of the Freelancer MAX is a very attractive option, but I've ultimately decided to wait and see what other special variants they come out with for other ships. There's time to decide if it's a MAX you want and not a MIS.

That said, if you know it's the ship for you, go for it! It's nice having something you love in the hangar, and when multiplayer DFM rolls around, you can get an early start on playing with crew.

Thanks for your reply, starkestrel! My thought was to get a vessel that could get from A to B quickly while having an acceptably big cargo bay so you can react quickly to restock rare goods, exploiting the demand-supply pricing system. Seeing how the Freelancer MAX is the smallest and lightest ship with a big cargo hold in comparison to other ships its size and 4 tr4 engines it could fullfil these requirements.

Alright, AntiSqueaker, I'll try to keep that in mind. American times are hard QQ. (I live in GMT+1) Thanks!

That's an astute analysis. Interesting...
