An interesting analisis on what a true sace combat will be... as in many case reality is quite different for the sci-fi.

something to think about, but water may not be needed to just to drink or to provide shielding (blocks cosmic rays better than metal), but also as a heat dump as it takes a lot of energy to heat water up. Plus you can do a phase change to steam for more energy absorption.

So if I can get a generator powerful enough and link the cooling system up to the liquid tanks I can run the repeaters on a Starfarer indefinately or at least until the tanks turn to gas (or melt)?
