And no, I did not get an invite, at this point I do not expect one.
Star Citizen seems to think anybody that streams is important, everybody else does not count.
They have completely ignored their org founders who have done 10x the amount of work over the years to build and maintain communities.
Any rando with 10 viewers on twitch can get invited though.

I'm starting to see the irony here.
Guess CIG may argue that SQ42 is a single player game and thus completely unrelated to the player communities of some random MMO, even if it's coming from the same company.
Guess I might retort where they can shove it because I payed for that single player game 12+ years ago. Time for some dividend, wouldn't you agree?
I am of a mind to go to Manchester in October and sit in front of their Studio making that kind of rude noises that happen after a dozend pints of whatever passes over there for stout.
Only thing really holding me back are the words Manchester, October and "in front of".

That’s over a month before GTA6. Was really as late as they could go.
SQ42 won't release this year. It's not just GTA delaying it. 4.8 and the abysmal state of the PU does too, in a big way. You can't let a new players first impression ,after finishing SQ42, of the PU be it's current state.
CIG, or rather marketing is buying fresh loyalty, hence the seemingly strange/random invites. You don't appeal to the crowd they are after. No one who played for a decade does.
You, we, the old core audience, is being replaced. Or, at least expanded significantly with no regard to us. The significant changes (dumbing down, making it more convenient modernMMO) to gameplay loops and game design over the past 2 years point in this direction.
It will be the start of a wider reaching marketing campaign to change the perception of the Fortnite gamer, the Genshin gooner, the new wider, younger target audience towards ScamCitizen. Because that is all they know, for now, and you can't release a make or break project in that environment.

They've already proven that the rabid backers will bankrupt themselves to buy literally ANYTHING that's got shiny pixels.
They've made a billion without even completing one game. The precident has been set long ago for endless pledges /subscriptions/ microtransactions in this franchise.
