this got me jazzed for menu structures. hype level for 3.0 increasing

That was a spectacular episode though, particularly the first 12 minutes or so. Did you see the massive metal munchers (read: salvage processing room at 6:51)? They look amazing! My only issue with that is that they look pretty and all, but how on earth are they going to make a derelict ship or parts actually interact with that monster? I guess it all depends on how intensive their damage states will be.
Can you imagine that though? Pulling in huge chunks of a spaced out ship and dropping the pieces in there? That would be amazing to watch.

Now if only they could spare some time to fix the Party System. (They have been working on it for 2 years).
Just saying. Not a complaint.....
Lightning is so much more important at this stage than a group of friends being able to enter the 'Verse in less than 30 minutes to play together.

- add your buddies to your contact list
- enter the hangar
- invite your buddies into a party
- go back into the main menu
- choose a server (probably US) and make sure, that everyone of your party also chooses it
- start loading Crusader
- as soon as you are having "Loading screen" inform your party for they are clicking "visit space port" (NOT "join friends", that does not work)
- if a 9th member wants to join: kick one member from your party while in space
- invite the new party member
- he/she than has to click "visit spaceport"
- your buddies have to make sure to activate the main chat (F11, right ALT+"-", F12, click on chat symbol, click on "Main")
- then check, if everyone is in one gaming instance
- Final hint: the server will randomly toss a small "grouped" set of players into one instance. Plus: with five or more grouped players, the systems will attempt to spin up a fresh instance if possible. Means high fps and the possibility of having only TEST on one server instance. :)

However, as you have pointed out, it takes 12 steps to accomplish.
It should be this simple;
1. Add each other to Contact list
2. Create a Party
3. Party Leader spawns in & everyone else joins.
Friends are in the 'Verse and playing within 5 minutes.

Have you asked this question to some CIG developer via Discord / Spectrum Avocado channel...?
I'm fine with anything as long as it works somehow. When you see it as an adventure with surprises ("you are in...? You are in!!") its a part of the SC alpha gaming experience, haha :D :beers::v::upside_down:
