I used to really enjoy STO because of the entertaining ship battles, but anything related to the ground combat and acting has been completely ruined for me because of SWTOR.

If I could skip everything related to ground and focus purely on the ships, I'd be so happy...

I think it is possible to skip the first missions and just play in your ship

I was thinking of trying this on Xbox. It looks like a bit of a steep learning curve / time sync. I am not sure I have room for another one of them with already playing SC and Elite D.

Is it worth it guys? I must admit I really do fancy bossing Wesley Crusher around. :D

Well in my opinion isn't really ok, especially if you have amd video, the dam game say i don't have the latest driver :D
Maybe is wanting me to have a video driver from the future

You can look it up on the official blog. The console versions released with the new lighting engine. The PC version should get it soon.

I stiil play STO (on and off) For an ageing game, it still plays well, and is being upgraded and added to.

In a large fleet with most of our fleet holdings maxed out.

I have nice memories of it, nice game, played at launch but got bored quickly. I tried to return over the years but with so many skills/commands is hard, it would take me 1-2h just to make a new build and set the commands, so is a no go for me.
Also I hated ground combat there, I hope SM will be more compatible with me :).
Also loved the mass PvE encounters, attacks done by the Borg, I hope it will be the same with the Vanduul's (they attack in large numbers and players need to gather up to protect the system).
